Before there was a price, there was an idea.
In 2008, amid one of the greatest financial crises in history, a person or group under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto published a nine-page document titled Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.
That document introduced a proposal that would transform the way we think about money, trust, and decentralized systems.
In this meetup, we will go back to 2008 and explore the Bitcoin Whitepaper from the beginning, seeking to understand the problems Bitcoin aimed to solve and the mechanisms used to build a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
No technical background is required. The goal is to create a space to learn, question, and understand the technology behind Bitcoin.
